Once Neil Lennon’s tenure had come to an end at Celtic after their most disastrous season in a decade, it was only a matter of time before the pack of cards came tumbling down.
It wasn’t just the fact that the Hoops lost out on the Scottish Premiership title, but the manner in which they lost it, completely beaten in every facet by Steven Gerrard’s Rangers side.

The season was long since over, even before Lennon went, and, ahead of the new season, the club are already working behind the scenes to bring things back on an even keel and give them the best chance of challenging their eternal rivals north of the border.
According to Football Insider, Celtic’s biggest shareholder, Dermot Desmond, has demanded a root-and-branch overhaul of the club’s recruitment department.
To that end, Gary Penrice, Mick Doherty and John Murphy, who all formed part of the club’s recruitment department, will fall on their swords with immediate effect.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, but whether that will be enough to redress the balance, only time will tell.
Fat, slow-witted, lazy on the training ground, lacking in desire, while the opposition were sharp, lean, crisp. Hurts to say it but we looked like slobs, they looked sharp. Anybody who sees differently will see us continue on the same vein. Lawwell’s incompetence and constant interfering cost us £300 millions in Euro Champs League money, good players, the 10, prestige and pride. Was it too difficult to stand outside Griff’s palace and the other players with a mask on if need be with scales and a body-fat checker, both available for less than £50 each? Did the trainers have something better to do over the lock-down than check the players are keeping well and fit? Disgraceful, heart-breaking and will cause pain for many a year. Hope the board start to do what that pile did and back the coach to the hilt. THEY DID, WE DID NOT and only a fool would argue. New coach needs being in NOW! Run the rule over the squad, kick those slackers up their pishing backsides, get rid of those who want to go or are not good enough, or as in many case, both and get desire, competitiveness and win so bad it hurts attitude, then the pride will return. Walk on with hope in your heart. HH!
