Manchester United are ready to break the bank for Paris Saint-Germain star Xavi Simons.

The Dutch international is being chased by Man United as well as Bayern Munich this summer.

Simons impressed for the Netherlands at the Euros this summer, particularly receiving praise for his performance against England in the semifinal.

The Red Devils have signed striker Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro this summer already.

They are set to continue their spending to continue their growth under new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The Premier League giants are reportedly contemplating offering PSG about €100 million in exchange for Simons, according to SPORT.

Simons made a big impression while on loan at RB Leipzig. He played in 43 games in all competitions, notching 10 goals and 15 assists.

The Dutch international has the qualities to develop into a world class attacker even at such a young age.

When needed, he can play in the number 10 position in addition to being able to play comfortably on either flank.

Simons has been linked with Man Utd.

The Dutchman will add versatility to Man United and if they make a move for him to bring him to Old Trafford, he will be reuniting with Ruud van Nistelrooy, his manager at PSV in the Dutch Eredivisie.

With the club already spending a huge amount on Zirzkee and Yoro, the €100m figure being quoted in the Spanish media looks out of Man United’s reach.

Man United need a new midfielder this summer

They need to sign a midfielder as well since the future of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay is uncertain at the club.

To spend that amount on an attacking player at this moment makes no sense for the Red Devils.

They need a midfielder first and foremost and an attacking full-back who can help the wide players during attack.

The club hierarchy are busy identifying transfer targets this summer and providing manager Erik ten Hag with the best resources to perform next season.

Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking unit this summer and Xavi Simons is an option for them.

The 21-year-old Netherlands international was on loan at RB Leipzig this past season and he was outstanding (10 goals & 15 assists) for the German club. He has now returned to his parent club Paris Saint-Germain, but the player could be on the move once again.

According to Spanish publication SPORT, PSG are waiting for an offer from Old Trafford and the Red Devils could offer around €100 million for him.

It will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with PSG in the coming weeks.

Erik ten Hag wants Simons at Manchester United and Ruud Van Nistelrooy is working to entice the talented young attacker to join Manchester United.

Man United want to sign Xavi Simons.

Man United need someone like Xavi Simons

The Red Devils wants to compete for major trophies in the upcoming season and they are looking to plug the gaps in their squad. Signing the 21-year-old could prove to be a wise decision. He will add goals and creativity to the side in the final third. In addition to that, he is versatile enough to operate on both flanks as well as the central attacking midfielder. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Red Devils if they managed to sign him.

Players like Jadon Sancho and Antony are likely to be sold this summer. Manchester United need to replace them adequately and someone like Simons would be a quality option to have. The 21-year-old is likely to improve with coaching and experience and he could develop into a key player for the Red Devils.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United come forward with the €100 million proposal for the player. The 21-year-old is a prodigious talent for the bright future and he could end up justifying the investment in the coming seasons.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the PSG attacker Xavi Simons.

The 21-year-old Dutch international has had an impressive campaign with RB Leipzig this past season, scoring 10 goals and picking up 15 assists in all competitions. He impressed with his country in the European championships as well.

The player has now returned to his parent club PSG and Manchester United are keen on securing his services. According to French outlet L’Equipe, the Red Devils are hoping to sign the player this summer, and it remains to be seen whether they submit an offer for him in the coming weeks.

The report states that Manchester United submitted an offer to sign the player in 2023 as well.

Simons is capable of operating operating on both flanks and he can slot into the attacking midfield role as well. His versatility will be an added bonus if Manchester United manage to get the deal done. They need a dynamic attacker like him and he will add goals and creativity to the side.

Sancho is expected to be sold permanently this summer and Antony has been quite underwhelming since joining the club from Ajax. Manchester United need more quality and depth in the final third. It will be interesting to see if they can sign the 21-year-old.

Man United move could tempt Xavi Simons

The attacker could be tempted to move to Old Trafford if a suitable proposal is presented. He will look to play regularly next season and it will be interesting to see if PSG are willing to provide him with that opportunity. The French outfit recently recently parted ways with Kylian Mbappé, and they might look at the Dutchman as his replacement.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks. Manchester United must plug the gaps in their attacking unit if they are serious about winning major trophies.

Leny Yoro to Manchester United – here we go!

Let me start with a big ‘here we go’ as Leny Yoro to Manchester United is a done deal. We’re just waiting now for the player to sign his contract with Man United, but everything is done in terms of the agreement. Lille already accepted an offer last week of €50m plus €12m in add-ons – a fantastic offer for Lille for a player who is out of contract next summer – and then United were also able to agree a contract with Yoro, who will join on a five-year deal with the option of one more year on top of that.

Yoro has already been in Manchester in the last 24 hours to undergo medical tests, with the first part of those tests already done. He will complete more tests and then sign the contract as a new Manchester United player. My opinion is that although this is expensive, it looks like an excellent and elite signing for Man United, as we know Yoro was also wanted by a number of other top clubs.

Real Madrid made their move but it was always the same, clear strategy: join now for €20-25m or join next summer on free transfer. Real have been clear with Yoro but he didn’t want to wait longer, Real were never going to pay €50m for a player out of contract in one season. Man United’s strategy was expensive but absolutely smart and perfect, the only way to sign the player. Liverpool were also interested but they also didn’t want to spend over €60m package for Yoro, even if they appreciated the player.

Paris Saint-Germain were also interested but Yoro wanted to try a new challenge in a different league, so really it was Real Madrid who were the main rivals to United in this deal. Yoro waited one week for Real Madrid, but they were out of the conversation with Lille after they accepted Man United’s bid. Then after a week of waiting, they understood that Yoro eventually decided to accept the chance to move to Old Trafford instead. Real Madrid was Yoro’s biggest dream, he really wanted to go there, but then he decided to move to Man United after seeing how strong and convincing they were in talks with the player and his family, also in terms of the project and offering him an important salary.

And so United have been able to sign a fantastic defender, it looks like a really great signing. Some fans have been asking me about what this deal means for the interest in Matthijs de Ligt – for now, the discussions have been positive and advanced but now for Man United it’s time to think about the outgoings. Man United still want one more centre-back but selling players is absolutely crucial for them, this is why the Matthijs de Ligt story remains open but not imminent now.

Xavi Simons future to be decided soon

Xavi Simons continues to be linked with Manchester United and it’s something realistic because there has long been plenty of interest from him around Europe, including in England. However, I’ve been checking with my sources and they’re still saying the same thing – that Simons is most likely to continue in Germany next season.

We know that Bayern Munich are trying to sign Simons, but RB Leipzig are also still absolutely in the mix. Nothing has been decided yet, but it’s between Bayern and Leipzig. Max Eberl is pushing every day to bring Simons to Bayern after he also signed him when he was at Leipzig last summer.

I don’t expect this to be a long saga that drags into August because Simons wants to decide soon, but for now it’s between Bayern and Leipzig, and Man United are not in advanced talks over Simons.

Latest on Joao Neves and Victor Osimhen to PSG

There continue to be plenty of transfer rumours about Joao Neves, and what I’m told is that the talented young Benfica midfielder is ready to say yes to Paris Saint-Germain. Neves is attracted to the PSG project and to the idea of working under a coach like Luis Enrique, who has always done a good job with technical players in midfield similar to Neves.

So, on the player side this is all okay, but the most important part now is for the two clubs to reach an agreement. PSG have informed Benfica of their interest, but the reality is that Benfica have always said they want the €120m release clause – they’re not going to accept any offers like €60-70m.

This is Benfica’s position, but PSG want to continue pushing in order to anticipate English clubs who are also interested in Neves. PSG want to go strong with this one, they know it’s not easy, but they know the player is keen on the move, and that he’s attracted by the project and keen to work under Enrique, who he considers a fantastic coach.

Another big story for PSG is that Victor Osimhen is really open to making the move to Paris. Luis Campos was also the director at Lille when Osimhen was there, so this is an important factor, and so far the conversations with the Napoli striker’s agents have been very positive. The contract for Osimhen is not expected to be a problem, but similarly to the Neves story, the negotiation between PSG and Napoli will be important.

At the moment, the situation between the two clubs is tense after the talk of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia earlier this summer. How PSG went about their interest in Kvaratskhelia made Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis upset, and so now they need to find a way to come to an agreement. PSG want to pay under Osimhen’s release clause, and so conversations are ongoing.

So, the situation is that PSG are advancing in talks with the player, he’s open to joining PSG. PSG want to negotiate but we know it’s never easy with Napoli. For sure, the priority for Osimhen is to leave Napoli and this is the intention. PSG are on it, in case Osimhen leaves Napoli will surely go for Romelu Lukaku as his replacement.

Still no breakthrough in Riccardo Calafiori transfer talks

I know Arsenal fans are keen for an update on Riccardo Calafiori, but there are no substantial changes to the situation yet. Arsenal and Bologna remain in contact but there’s no agreement over the €50m fee.

The issue is that Bologna want guaranteed money while Arsenal’s proposal includes add-ons structure to get to €50m potential fee. Despite what has been suggested elsewhere, there’s no ‘issue’ with Basel: they will receive 50% of the deal, that’s it. Bologna want €50m fixed exactly because they have to give over €20m to Basel, this is the point.

Let’s see if the clubs can reach a breakthrough in talks soon, but for now there isn’t really any major development to report.

Jean-Clair Todibo to Juventus latest

Juventus can bid for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo as soon as they sell at least one more player. Talks are ongoing to sell Soule, Chiesa, Dean Huijsen. For sure Juventus already have the green light from Todibo, and he will wait for them despite West Ham agreeing a deal with Nice.

Juve will be Todibo’s priority, so let’s see what they can do in terms of player sales before making their move to Nice. We’ll see as well if other clubs get involved as it’s still early this summer, so anything can happen.

Man United to decide on Sofyan Amrabat next week, plus more ins and outs at Old Trafford

Willy Kambwala is leaving Manchester United on a permanent transfer to Villarreal. The young defender had one year left on his contract and wasn’t negotiating a new deal, he wanted to play and now he’s going to play in Spain. Villarreal are set to pay €10m to Manchester United, and then give a five-year contract to the player, with a sell-on clause and also a buy-back clause for Man United.

The medical is expected to take place in the next 24-48 hours, with Man United keeping control of the player for the future, and this happens as they continue to make progress on the Matthijs de Ligt deal. Meanwhile, another departure from United we already know about is Raphael Varane, and he has now said yes to a move to Como, subject to a medical.

There will also be a decision next week on Sofyan Amrabat, so it depends on United, they will decide next week. This is what all sources say, it’s not clear yet because it only depends on United decision. The player has already given his green light to the move. In any case, he could leave Fiorentina because he wants to try a different project.

There have also been transfer rumours about Man United and Xavi Simons. My understanding remains that two clubs are still leading the race – Bayern and RB Leipzig. These two clubs are pushing, and their advantage is that they have been pushing for a long time, for the last few months.

Xavi Simons has already decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain on loan, and he will probably leave on a permanent transfer next summer. It’s 99% over between PSG and Simons, and as I’ve said before, one key figure to watch is Max Eberl, the former Leipzig director who’s now at Bayern, as he’s pushing to sign Simons again after bringing him on loan to Leipzig last year.

Leipzig, however, are also in the race and can offer Simons a role as an important part of their squad. The Dutch midfielder had a very good loan there last season, they are an ambitious club, as they’ve shown by keeping Benjamin Sesko, and so they want to try to keep Simons as well.

So what about United? It’s true that they have an interest in Simons, and they asked for information on his situation after confirming that Erik ten Hag is staying as manager. They are not leading the race because they joined quite late, as both Bayern and Leipzig have been there since April. Another club to ask about Simons was Newcastle, but again this was late, just a few days ago, so this is why Bayern and Leipzig remain the two favourites.

Finally on United, Jadon Sancho keeps being linked with Juventus, though some reports now also suggest they have switched their focus elsewhere. My understanding is that no decision has been made yet on the winger. The first step for Juventus is selling Federico Chiesa and/or Matias Soule, then they will decide which winger they want to sign. Man United will discuss the Sancho situation in the next days, he’s now back with the squad and his feeling with Erik ten Hag in the next weeks will be important to understand more on his future.

Julian Alvarez set for talks over Manchester City future

Another important player to watch this summer will be Julian Alvarez. For now his focus is on the final of Copa America with Argentina, but then there will be a discussion between the player and Manchester City. So far, there has been no intention form Man City to negotiate for Alvarez, they didn’t want to set a price for him.

Although City’s stance has been that they don’t want to let Alvarez go, the player wants to play more. So now City will have to decide, after meeting with Alvarez and his agent, what they want to do next. Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain are waiting to see what will happen with Alvarez, but they don’t want to waste a lot of time in a long negotiation, so they want Man City to decide soon.

Still, for sure the interest from PSG is still there, and Alvarez’s future will depend on the talks with Man City, which will happen very soon after Copa America. Still, I can confirm once again that it won’t be an easy deal because City want to keep Alvarez at the club.

Barcelona focusing on Nico Williams as Aston Villa swoop for Amadou Onana

Soon it’s going to be time to decide the future of Nico Williams, whose time at the Euros will be coming to an end tonight as he prepares for the final clash between Spain and England. Barcelona had an interest in Everton’s Amadou Onana, but he’s now close to joining Aston Villa instead as Barca wanted to save their budget for Nico Williams.

Barcelona really like Onana and spent months discussing this possibility, but they didn’t make a bid and they won’t make a bid at the last minute of the negotiations. Barca want to focus on Nico Williams, and they want to be fast, because they know that top English clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping a close eye on his situation.

Barcelona now want to start to advance and to push for Williams next week, but one crucial detail is that they might also need to sell one player to make space for Financial Fair Play. They are waiting for the approval of La Liga, though Joan Laporta has already said publicly that they can afford Williams, so they will go for it in the next days, but selling one player could help them to be faster.

It’s really concrete – Barca want to use their budget for Williams, he’s the top target approved by new manager Hansi Flick, and so things are hotting up on this story.

Credit as well to Aston Villa because they did an excellent job on Onana. They had the most concrete interest and they worked well behind the scenes to present the proposal at the right moment. There was interest from Barcelona, but also from PSG, though their focus is on dream target Joao Neves.

In other news…

Riccardo Calafiori – The Bologna defender is still waiting for Arsenal as the clubs try to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. If it goes through it should be a superb signing for Arsenal as Calafiori is an excellent defender – he can play centre-back or left-back, has an excellent left foot, can provide assists and score goals as he did for Bologna last season. Quality is the best word to describe him. He’s a centre-back but has quality to help the squad in the build up like midfielders.

Pepe – Veteran Porto and Portugal defender Pepe has not decided anything on his future yet, despite links with La Liga club Celta Vigo. He’s considering many options, and in June he was always approached by Saudi clubs, but at the moment he’s still not decided anything and he wants to take his time.

Euro 2024 final – I’m not good at score predictions so I leave this one, but I’m really looking forward to tonight’s final between Spain and England. I’m sure the game is going to be on players like Phil Foden and Lamine Yamal. More than in midfield, quality on the wing is gonna be key to win individual duels and win the game. It’s going to be exciting between two top teams, two closely-matched sides, and I could see it even going to penalties!

Manchester United are keen on signing the Paris Saint-Germain attacker Xavi Simons.

The 21-year-old was on loan at RB Leipzig this season and he was very impressive for the Bundesliga outfit. Simons managed to score 10 goals and pick up 15 assists in all competitions. He was very impressive in the European championships with the Netherlands as well and he helped them reach the semifinals of the tournament where they were eliminated by England.

Manchester United are in need of attacking reinforcements and the Dutch international would be a quality acquisition. He is versatile enough to operate as the central attacking midfielder as well as a wide player on either flank. His versatility will be an added bonus for the Red Devils if they can get the deal done. However, the asking price is quite high and the French outfit are holding out for €70 million, as per Fichajes.

Manchester United will be hoping to sign him for a more reasonable price in the coming weeks. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Simons should look to sort out his permanent future this summer. He will not want to go out on loan once again. If PSG are unwilling to provide him with regular opportunities, he should leave them permanently.

A move to Manchester United will be an exciting opportunity for the player. He would get to test himself at a high level in the Premier League. The Red Devils are likely to be able to offer him a regular starting spot in the side.

The 21-year-old has the physical and technical attributes to do well in English football and he could develop into a key player for Manchester United. The Red Devils must improve their attacking unit in order to push for trophies next season.

Kobbie Mainoo shows he’s the future of Man United and England

What a win for England last night as Ollie Watkins scored a dramatic late goal against the Netherlands to set up a final clash against Spain! I know some fans haven’t always been satisfied with the style of the performances by England at these Euros, but against the Netherlands it was really convincing, and a deserved result, in my opinion.

Now no one wants to talk about Gareth Southgate’s future, of course sources are quiet and only hoping to win the final all together. But for sure, for England it’s already a massive achievement. Cole Palmer has been perfect in the final minutes, same for Watkins of course.

But again, what a player Kobbie Mainoo is – he really stood out for me. He’s an incredible talent. He’s going to be the future for Man United and England – a special player.

Dani Olmo release clause to be extended amid Chelsea links

I want to start with an important update on the situation of Dani Olmo. From what I’m told, there is an important detail on Olmo’s €60m release clause. The plan was for the clause to run until Monday 15th July, but if the Spanish national team were to reach the final of the Euros, it would then run for five more days.

Now we know that Spain have reached the final of Euro 2024, where they will face England, his release clause at RB Leipzig will be valid until the 20th of July. This means the agents of the player have more time to hold more meetings to find a solution for him.

Dani Olmo in action for RB Leipzig

I’ve been asked about reports in England linking Olmo with Chelsea, but at the moment I’m told they are not negotiating for him. Chelsea already have Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and then Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian to come later, so it’s not something concrete for Chelsea at this stage. But he can be an option for many other clubs.

Chelsea are not short of talented left footed attackers, but they are looking for a right footed winger, and also for a striker – these are the two positions that are a priority. So what’s going on with Olmo? I’m told that there are meetings expected with Premier League clubs, while Bayern also appreciate this opportunity, but it could be really complicated to negotiate with Leipzig if they’re not fast and the date of his release clause being valid passes. It would take a lot more than €60m to sign Olmo after the 20th of July.

Man United still discussing Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte

As I’ve previously reported, Matthijs de Ligt wants to join Manchester United and talks are ongoing between United and Bayern Munich. Now that De Ligt is free after the Netherlands’ exit from the Euros, it’s the perfect moment to accelerate talks and get the deal done.

United and Bayern still need to agree on the fee, and on the structure of the fee, so negotiations are still ongoing between the clubs, but there are no issues between De Ligt and Man United on personal terms as he wants to move to Old Trafford.

As soon as De Ligt leaves Bayern, they are very confident of closing a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Jonathan Tah. Bayern have presented their proposal, and Tah only wants to join Bayern, despite some links with other top clubs earlier this summer.

United also remain in constant conversations with Paris Saint-Germain over Manuel Ugarte. There is a very good relationship between the two clubs, so now it’s about Man United deciding how much they want to invest on a new midfielder, and if Ugarte is worth the money. There will be an internal discussion at United before coming to a decision, similar to what happened with Joshua Zirkzee – it took them nearly a month to review this internally, think about opportunities, consider all the different aspects of the deal, and then deciding together to go for Zirkzee.

Now Ugarte is in this kind of review process internally at United, with talks already taking place with PSG, even though there has been no official bid from United yet. It’s a direct club-to-club negotiation, but I’m told it’s not a traditional kind of negotiation with official bids at the moment.

Chelsea exploring Samu Omorodion alternatives, plus more updates

Chelsea have already had a bid rejected for Samu Omorodion. But if later in the window Atletico Madrid change their mind and open the door for Omorodion to leave for the right price, then Chelsea will be there. For now, though, Chelsea will also explore other options, as we have to respect that Atletico Madrid have always been very clear – they want to keep Omorodion and he is very happy at the club.

In other news at Chelsea – Renato Veiga has completed the second part of his Chelsea medical – everything is going to plan for this one. I also think one to watch will be David Datro Fofana – I expect him to leave Chelsea this summer, and there are many clubs interested in him.

Important days ahead for Xavi Simons

We are entering into really important days for the future of Xavi Simons. Of course he scored a wonderful goal for the Dutch national team last night, but they’re now out of the Euros, so now it’s time for him to decide his future together with his agents.

Simons has already been clear with Paris Saint-Germain – he will not play for them next season. In the coming days, he will take his time to decide what club he wants to join on loan. It won’t be a permanent transfer, this is the current situation but I will let you know if it changes.

At the moment it looks like Simons has two main possibilities – one of those is Bayern, who have been very strong in recent weeks because of director Max Eberl, who is the same man who signed him on loan for RB Leipzig last season. Eberl was able to convince Simons to join Leipzig when he was director there, and he has a very good relationship with the player and his agents. Bayern are pushing, with Eberl now the director there.

Staying at Leipzig for one more season is also an option for Simons, and they are pushing as well. They have this dream of keeping Simons for longer, after also managing to extend the contract of star striker Benjamin Sesko, and of manager Marco Rose. So, Bayern and Leipzig have positioned themselves to sign Simons, but let’s see if some other clubs will try to enter the race.

Juventus like Jadon Sancho, plus updates on Teun Koopmeiners and Jean-Clair Todibo

Juventus like Jadon Sancho, but at the moment they would have to sell Federico Chiesa to be able to afford the signing of Sancho. They are waiting to find a solution to the Chiesa situation, and then we’ll see if they take the opportunity to attack the situation with Sancho.

Other Juventus targets are Teun Koopmeiners, he remains their top midfield target after a deal was completed for Khephren Thuram. In defence, they really like Jean-Clair Todibo, who was 99% a Manchester United player before everything collapsed because UEFA rules wouldn’t allow any player to move to a club under the same ownership while they’re playing in the same competition.

So, now United have left the race, there is no chance for it to happen. Meanwhile, West Ham had a bid rejected for Todibo, worth €35m, and they have since signed Max Kilman in defence, though they keep monitoring Todibo. Juventus, meanwhile, have a strong interest in Todibo, let’s see what Juve decide to do, but he’s one of the names on the list of director Cristiano Giuntoli, who knows him well as he tried to sign him when he was at Toulouse earlier in his career.

Youssouf Fofana to AC Milan, plus surprise Carney Chukwuemeka links

AC Milan have agreed terms with Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana, and now talks are ongoing between the clubs to reach an agreement. I’m aware there have been some reports and rumours about Arsenal, but I’ve never been aware of any talks, in all honesty.

Of course, Arsenal, like all clubs, like to monitor opportunities on the market, and Fofana looks like an opportunity. Still, they never sent any proposal, and now things are happening with Milan and I can see him being a really good fit for Serie A, so it’s a smart signing by Milan if they manage to complete it.

Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has also been linked as a loan target for Milan, but I’m not aware of this story either. Chelsea don’t want to loan him out, so the situation is quiet and in any case he has a £40m release clause in his contract.

Arsenal could still look for striker opportunities

There has been some suggestion that Arsenal will no longer necessarily be making a striker a top priority target after missing out on Benjamin Sesko, but I’d keep this situation open.

No decision has been made yet, it will also depend on the opportunities. Sesko was an opportunity, but then he decided to stay at Leipzig. Let’s see how Arsenal decide to move on the market in the next days and weeks.

There are other big names up front that we’ve heard a lot about this summer, but at the moment there is still nothing close or concrete for Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres. One striker who could be on the move, however, is Alvaro Morata, who is expected to decide soon whether he wants to stay at Atletico Madrid or try a new chapter with AC Milan.

Could Liverpool still be one to watch for Leny Yoro?

I’m sure Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are still attentive to the situation of Leny Yoro, but at the moment the only club to go to Lille with an official bid is Manchester United. So far, United have been very aggressive on this deal, while Liverpool and PSG are there but have still not made a bid – obviously if Yoro decides he is prepared not to go to Real Madrid, then all the possibilities will be open.

Arsenal are expected to be active in the summer transfer market as Mikel Arteta looks to land a player or two that will help get them over the line in the race for the Premier League title.

Man City have been the team to beat over the past few seasons, with only Liverpool’s long-overdue title win in 2020 stopping Pep Guardiola’s swashbucklers from winning an incredible seven English top-flight titles in a row.

How to buy tickets for England vs Spain

Their current run of four title wins in succession is an all-time record, but Arteta and his squad will want to ensure that they don’t increase it to five.

In order to be able to do that, they need to land the players that the manager requests, so the Spaniard will arguably be disappointed that he’s set to lose out on one of the Gunners major summer targets.

Arsenal want Xavi Simons but Bayern are muscling in
Arsenal want Xavi Simons but Bayern are muscling in

According to Just Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Netherlands midfielder, Xavi Simons, scorer of one of Euro 2024’s best goals in the semi-final against England, remains a player that the North Londoners want to sign.

However, Sky Sports are reporting that Bayern Munich also want to sign the 21-year-old, who spent last season in the Bundesliga on loan at RB Leipzig.

It seems clear that Simons won’t be staying at PSG so the race is wide open for the time being.

Arsenal’s style of play would certainly suit the player, though Vincent Kompany is also known to be a fan of a front-foot attacking style, so the player may prefer to be part of the Belgian’s emerging project in Bavaria.

All the while Simons hasn’t put pen to paper Arsenal are in with a chance, but they’ll need to move quickly in order to keep Bayern at bay.

Xavi Simons has given the Netherlands a dream start in their Euro 2024 semi final against England with a blockbuster strike into the top corner.

Simons dispossessed Declan Rice before advancing to the edge of the box and unleashing a brilliant strike into the top corner past Jordan Pickford.

The 21-year-old’s goal saw him become the youngest Dutch player to score in the knockout rounds of a European Championships.

Pickford perhaps could have done better, but this wasn’t the start England had in mind and they now face a really tough task against a well organised Dutch side.

An early goal gives England time to get back into the match and it will be interesting to see if the Dutch push for a second goal or try and protect what they have.

Premier League champions Manchester City have started the process to replace midfield maestro Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian has arguably been the best Man City player in the last decade and he has guided the club to success in the Premier League and the Champions League.

However, his time at the Etihad Stadium could be soon coming to an end as journalist Rudy Galetti has reported that his representatives met with the Saudi delegate and they have given their approval of a transfer to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad.

The journalist has mentioned that the Premier League giants are open to letting De Bruyne leave the club.

In order to replace him, Man City have started looking out for options in the market.

According to TeamTalk, the Premier League champions have shortlisted Benfica star Joao Neves as one of the options to replace the legendary Belgian midfielder.

The teenager is highly rated and City’s Premier League rivals Manchester United are also keeing an eye on the youngster.

Benfica are seeking the full £105m release clause in his contract so that would mean Man City would have to dig deep in their pockets to sign him.

Man City Kevin de Bruyne
Man City have shortlisted German duo as potential Kevin de Bruyne replacements.

The report mentions Paris Saint-Germain Xavi Simons as one of the options with City monitoring the Dutch midfielder.

The young midfielder has impressed on his loan spell at RB Leipzig and that has created interest among some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Man City have added German midfielders to their shortlist

German duo Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala are also two young midfielders on the Man City shortlist as they plan for life without De Bruyne.

The loss of the Belgian midfielder would affect the Cityzens the most, compared to other departures in recent years.

All their options are talented young players who are destined for greatness but to replace De Bruyne, they have a long way to go.
