Liverpool are reportedly the latest club to show an interest in the potential transfer of Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen, who could be on the move this summer.
Malen has been linked with Manchester United as Fabrizio Romano exclusively told CaughtOffside that the Red Devils have a good relationship with the Netherlands international’s agents, and that he could have the chance to leave Dortmund this summer.
Malen is now also being linked with Liverpool and Arsenal by German outlet Bild, who state that the 25-year-old could be sold if BVB receive a fee in the region of €60million.
Despite looking like an exciting young talent at former club PSV Eindhoven, it hasn’t quite happened for Malen during his time in the Bundesliga, so a summer departure could make sense for him this year.
Malen transfer: Will he end up at Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd?
Malen looks a tempting option for €60m, which isn’t too much to pay for a versatile attacking player who may still have his best years ahead of him.
LFC would do well to improve their depth up front, with Malen potentially an upgrade on Cody Gakpo, while others like Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have been a little injury prone.
For Arsenal, there is surely a role for another goal-scorer in the side as Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have not had the best seasons, with neither player being quite prolific enough, and with Jesus also having numerous problems staying fit.
United, meanwhile, seem to already be in a decent position for the Dutchman due to good relations with his representatives, so this seems like one to watch as they will surely look for upgrades on struggling attacking players like Antony, while Anthony Martial is also due to be out of contract at Old Trafford and surely leaving on a free at the end of this season.
