Spurs have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa.
That’s according to a recent report from Fichajes, who claims the Premier League outfit are interested to learn the Old Lady’s asking price for the Italy international.
Although not alone in their pursuit of the 26-year-old, Spurs could steal an early lead after already holding discussions with the Serie A giants over a possible summer transfer.
Believed to be valued at a modest £25 million, Chiesa, who represented Italy in the EUROs, could be one of the most in-demand attackers on the market this summer.
Spurs could sign Federico Chiesa as possible Richarlison replacement
Despite joining the Turin-based club on a permanent deal just two years ago, the Genova-born winger has struggled in recent times with his performances and output dipping. And following Juventus’ disappointing third-placed Serie A finish, Chiesa looks to be the player likely to be offloaded.
For Spurs, this is great news. Ange Postecoglou is already seeing Richarlison heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia’s wealthy Pro League with both Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadsiah reportedly ‘preparing sizeable’ offers for the Brazilian.
Consequently, Chiesa, who has just 12 months left on his contract in Turin, could prove to be the ideal replacement, and, should Postecoglou get the Italian back to his best, would arguably be a significant upgrade too.
Get to Falkirk never fit n not a upgrade on timo or gil so pointless but another wasted money on a pointless player levy all over the back
