Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move away from the Italian club this summer and multiple Premier League clubs are keen on securing his signature.
According to a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport, Liverpool are interested in signing the 26-year-old Italian international but they will face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea as well.
Chiesa has managed to get over his injury problems and he had an impressive season with Juventus last year. He did reasonably well in the European championships with Italy before they were eliminated from the competition as well.
He has the physical and technical attributes to succeed in the Premier League and he could be a key player for the likes of Liverpool. Mohamed Salah will be out of contract next summer and Luis Diaz has been linked with an exit. Liverpool will have to invest in a quality winger and the Italian international seems like the ideal acquisition. He will add goals, creativity, pace, and flair from the wide areas. He is versatile enough to operate on both flanks as well.
Man United and Chelsea keen on Federico Chiesa
Similarly, Manchester United are looking to sell players like Jadon Sancho this summer and they will have to bring in a quality replacement. He could prove to be a superb investment for the Red Devils. The 26-year-old is in his peak years and he could be a key player.
Chelsea have invested substantial amounts of money on wingers like Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke in recent seasons. However, both players have been quite underwhelming and the Blues could use more quality in the final third. Chiesa would certainly help them improve going forward and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the player in the coming weeks.
The report states that the Italian international is valued at around €30-40 million this summer and it is fair to assume that all three clubs have the resources to afford him afford him.
