Formerly-hyped youngster Freddy Adu has signed for Finnish side Kuopion Palloseura, according to the club’s official Twitter page.

Now 25 years old, the forward has had 11 different clubs in the last 10 seasons, after being hailed as a potential world superstar when he was a youngster in the MLS. The American has been without a club since 2014, when he was let go from Serbian team Jagodina after making just one appearance for the club.
After failing to get a permanent deal following trials at Blackpool and AZ Alkmaar, it seems that Kuopion have decided to take a chance on the player. At the very least he will bring some publicity to a team that almost no one will have heard of before.
