Leeds United have entered the race to sign Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison on loan this summer, according to reports.

Jebbison only recently joined the Cherries from relegated Sheffield United as he looks to get his career back on track following a spate of injuries.

The 21-year-old striker, who was born in Canada but is also eligible to represent England at international level, was courted by a number of Championship clubs this summer before opting to move to the Vitality Stadium.

However, with Dominic Solanke enjoying a 19-goal season in the Premier League in 2023/24, it’s unlikely Jebbison will get too many chances, with a loan the best thing for his development at this stage.

Jebbison to Leeds?

According to HITC (via GIVEMESPORT), Leeds were one of the Championship outfits interested in Jebbison — who scored three goals in 35 appearances for Sheffield United, as well as nine in 23 during a 2021/22 loan spell with Burton Albion — prior to his move to Bournemouth.

And it’s understood that Leeds could still land the striker having shown interest in bringing him to Elland Road on loan from the Cherries — although they could face competition from other Championship sides.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke will need all the reinforcements he can get as he’s under pressure to deliver in 2024/25 after the Whites lost the Championship playoff final 1-0 to Southampton — failing in their attempt to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Everton reportedly remain interested in Sheffield United Daniel Jebbison as they look to find cover for the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin recently suffered a training ground injury, which could keep him out for at least the rest of the month. With Salomon Rondon the only other option in attack, Everton could look to recruit a new striker this summer.

Ellis Simms and Lewis Dobbin were sent out on loan around the time of the Calvert-Lewin injury, meaning Everton lined up without a striker in their opening game against Chelsea.

Now, according to Football League World, Everton are once again interested in Sheffield United striker Jebbison, a player they have been considering a move for in the last few transfer windows.

At 19 years old, you’d expect Jebbison to be a player to be bought with an eye for the future, but due to a lack of options, he could be needed to make an immediate impact at Everton.

Frank Lampard’s side travel to Villa Park this weekend for their second game of the Premier League season, and as it stands, we could be seeing the likes of Demarai Gray or Dele Alli operating in a centre-forward role.

Rafael Benitez has already done some decent business in the current summer transfer window for Everton.

The Spaniard has been working overtime to get the Toffees competitive, and four points from the opening two games is a decent enough return given that the first-team squad is in a period of transition under the former Liverpool manager.

With a few days left until the window closes, it seems clear that Benitez would like to get some more new faces through the door, however, the only chance he will have of padding out his squad will be if Moise Kean, James Rodriguez or preferably both are sold.

MORE: Make or break for Liverpool star

There are a number of players that Everton have their eye on, but it’s almost certain that none will be signed without the aforementioned pair leaving.

According to the Liverpool ECHO, AZ Alkmaar’s Luuk Kluiters is being targeted as is Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff.

Sheffield United haven’t responded to the Toffees enquiry for Daniel Jebbison either, though we can expect Benitez to push hard on all fronts if and when he’s able to do so.
