Aston Villa have taken things up a notch in terms of kit reveal videos, after having rock god, Ozzy Osbourne, appear in theirs for the 2024/25 home kit debut.

Villa legends Paul McGrath and Gabby Agbonlahor make an appearance as do Unai Emery and some of his current staff, but it’s Osbourne that steals the show.

The video is set to the sound of Black Sabbath’s epic track, Paranoid, which adds an extra layer of cool to the footage.

Fulham hosted London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening in a game where all eyes were on the visitors because of their chances of climbing to fourth.

With a victory, Spurs, albeit potentially temporary, would have leapfrogged Aston Villa. But the Cottagers were not going to roll over and have their bellies tickled by the visitors.

Marco Silva’s men completely outclassed Tottenham from start to finish and ultimately claimed three points with commanding 3-0 win.

For the trip to Fulham Brennan Johnson started on the left wing, acting as a speed option down the flank. The Welsh international had chances to score but ultimately fluffed them.

One former Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor, has criticised Johnson after the game.

Johnson and Werner shouldn’t start for Tottenham – Agbonlahor claims

In his analysis of the game, former Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has identified two Spurs players whom head coach Ange Postecoglou should avoid starting.

The talkSPORT pundit believes that German international forward Timo Werner, currently on loan from RB Leipzig, and Welsh international forward Brennan Johnson, do not meet the standard required to start for Tottenham.

“Similar to Werner, sometimes Mudryk as well. Sometimes when you get these quick players, they can make the wrong choice at the wrong time.

“Johnson and Werner shouldn’t be starting for a team that want to be fighting for the league title, if Spurs want to do that. They should be players on the bench to come on.”

Despite Agbonlahor’s opinion, Brennan Johnson was included in Tottenham’s starting lineup against Fulham in the London derby. Throughout the season, Johnson has made 15 starts and seven substitute appearances in the league, contributing four goals and six assists.

Meanwhile, Timo Werner entered the match as a substitute in the 66th minute. Werner has made five starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Gabby Agbonlahor has recommended that Tottenham make a significant investment to secure the signing of Ivan Toney, asserting that the addition of the Brentford star would make Ange Posteocglou’s side a formidable team to face.

Recent reports, including an update from The Independent, have tempered expectations about Tottenham pursuing a move for Ivan Toney. It’s suggested that Tottenham, while expressing interest in Toney, may be deterred by the high price tag set by Brentford, who reportedly demanded £80 million for the 27-year-old striker.

Agbonlahor has emphasised that Ivan Toney would be the perfect addition for Spurs, making their attack significantly more formidable. The former Aston Villa star shared this opinion on talkSPORT: “Spurs are another one that needs to go out and get Ivan Toney, if I was Brentford I’d have an auction, I’d say, ‘Here’s the amount, going once, going twice’.”

He later stated Spurs should “break the bank” for the 27-year-old.

But the latest report suggests that Arsenal has taken the lead in the race to sign Ivan Toney, surpassing Chelsea. Furthermore, it’s noted that the England international reportedly favours a move to the Emirates over Stamford Bridge.

Whoever gets the signature of Toney will have a complete centre-forward on their hands, one that can lift his teammates to his level, that’s how good of a an all-round striker he is.

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has revealed which player Unai Emery was ‘screaming at’ during the Villains’ Premier League victory against Spurs on Sunday.

The Midlands giants travelled to London and came away from the Tottenham Hotspur with all three points after goals from Pau Torres and Ollie Watkins saw off the Lilywhites.

However, despite the incredible performance, which saw them surge into the league’s top four, manager Unai Emery did not let his standards slip throughout.

Speaking to talkSPORT about what happened on the weekend, Agbonlahor explained how midfielder Douglas Luiz, who is wanted by Liverpool and Arsenal in January, was told to put in a free-kick into the box prior to Torres’ header — and although it was a moment he executed with pinpoint accuracy, the ex-striker isn’t convinced Emery was pleased due to how long it took the Brazilian to heed his manager’s instruction.

“He was screaming at him, put the ball in the box, it’s the last kick of the first half and he did it,” he said.

“And Unai Emery’s celebration was one of relief wasn’t it because to be honest I was watching the game and I was thinking I can’t even watch this, as we are getting absolutely battered by Spurs.”

Former Aston Villa attacker Gabby Agbonlahor has praised West Ham for their links to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.

The Hammers came close to signing the England international during the summer before failed negotiations saw the Londoners narrowly miss out, leaving Maguire to effectively rot at Old Trafford.

However, with the January transfer window now just a matter of weeks away from opening, the Hammers have once again been linked with a move for the former United skipper, and Agbonlahor thinks the 30-year-old could be the ideal replacement for Kurt Zouma; a player who is expected to be next in line for a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia’s Pro League.

“That’s one I can picture happening. I don’t know when, but I can see Kurt Zouma in Saudi Arabia. He will know players who are over there playing, and the money will be just so hard to turn down,” the ex-striker told Football Insider.

“He’s approaching his thirties now, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him make that move in the near future. West Ham, then, would probably have to go back in for Maguire. It would be the perfect man-for-man replacement.”

talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor spoke about his poker addiction in his Aston Villa playing days, saying he would play poker online when he got home from training as he would be “bored”.

Agbonlahor mentioned that some of this boiled down to being single at the time, having no kids and living with a couple of friends. He would finish training “quite early” around 12:30 PM, and would come home and be bored.

This is what led to Agbonlahor grabbing his laptop and playing online poker, which then became going to the casino in the evening, and he then said “before you know it, you are in Palm Beach casino playing poker with the big dogs”.

He also spoke about how it become an addiction for a lot of players at the club, but for him it was never betting on football, it was just the poker side of things.

Agbonlahor spent 13 years at Aston Villa from 2005-2018, making 391 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 86 goals, providing 60 assists and amassing 30,522 minutes for the club.

His only other two clubs were both out on loan, in 2005, when he played three games for Watford, and then eight games for Sheffield Wednesday. Agbonlahor also earned three England caps, but failed to score for the Three Lions.

Manchester City have emerged as frontrunners to sign Lucas Paqueta from West Ham.

Suggestions the Cityzens could sign the Brazil international come as David Moyes looks to replace Declan Rice, who joined Arsenal at the start of the summer window in a club-record deal worth £105 million.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Pep Guardiola’s treble-winning City have verbally offered their Premier League rivals £70 million in exchange for their talented number 10. However, last year’s champions have seen their first offer rejected, prompting speculation they could return with a new and improved offer following the player’s desire to join.

But former striker Gabby Agbonlahor thinks it would be a huge mistake for the Hammers to sell Paqueta, especially considering they let their other first-choice midfielder leave just a few weeks ago.

“What about Paqueta to Manchester City?” asked Agbonlahor on talkSPORT.

“Surely, they wouldn’t sell him. Surely?!”

Do you think Paqueta will join Manchester City this summer? – Let us know in the comments.

Arsenal may not have lifted the Premier League this season, but their fans still have something to cheer about.

Bukayo Saka, 21, recently penned a new deal keeping him at the Emirates until at least 2027.

The young winger has enjoyed another excellent campaign, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 47 matches in all competitions.

Undoubtedly one of the Gunners’ most important players, as well as coming through their youth system, retaining the 21-year-old was seen as a priority, and pundit Gabby Agbonlahor understands why.

Speaking to talkSport about Arsenal’s impressive number seven, the ex-Villa forward said: “He’s one of the best wingers in the world. What an asset he is to the club as well.”

Gabby Agbonlahor is of the opinion that if Liverpool start next season as badly as they did this year, they could part ways with Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds picked up just 16 points from their opening ten games of the league season this year, including a 4-1 loss to Napoli in their first Champions League group stage match, but fast forward to now, they have picked up form across the season as they still hold a slim chance of achieving Champions League football, sitting 5th in the table.

This will also be the first season since 2020/21 that they haven’t won a trophy but despite their turnaround over the course of this campaign, Agbonlahor told Talksport that Klopp could be in danger if he engineers a repeat of the start of this season’s form next year.

The standards they’ve set over the past few campaigns, I think this season has been really bad for them. They’re 22 points behind City.”

“If they start next season badly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Klopp gets sacked.”

It’s a bold claim from Agbonlahor, but with the additions Liverpool are expected to make this season, especially in the midfield, we could be seeing a revitalised Reds side next year.

Gabby Agbonlahor thinks that Liverpool should sign Conor Gallagher, Mason Mount and Moises Caicedo after talks for Jude Bellingham collapsed.

According to Paul Joyce of the Times, the Reds ended their pursuit of Bellingham yesterday, citing price and high wages as a reason for their decision.

As a result, Agbonlahor said on Talksport this morning that Liverpool should turn their attention to some other midfielders as they move on from the Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder.

“Mason Mount would go in and help. Caicedo would be a great signing. Gallagher would be good. But it’s not going to get Liverpool to where they want to be or where their fans are used to.

Mount has been heavily linked to Liverpool as he goes through a contract standoff with Chelsea

Winning the Champions League and being up there in the Premier League. That’s not good enough to get Liverpool back with Manchester City and Arsenal, so I can see the frustration from Liverpool fans of not getting Bellingham. It’s frustrating.”

According to Joyce, Bellingham’s £100million price tag was enough to put Liverpool off, but signing three midfielders who some say don’t come close to a player of Bellingham’s quality for a likely higher combined fee could be a big risk for the club this summer.
