West Ham are considering a move for Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters according to reports as they look for a new right back following Ben Johnson’s departure.

It’s set to be a busy summer at the London Stadium as the Hammers look to strengthen their squad ahead of Julen Lopetegui’s first season in charge.

So far the club have signed Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme, centre back Max Kilman and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, with plenty more reinforcements needed if West Ham are going to qualify for European football.

West Ham eye Walker-Peters

The Hammers are on the hunt for more depth in the right back position following Johnson’s decision to join Ipswich on a free transfer.

Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to leave the club this summer, and has been linked with a move to the London Stadium, with journalist Dean Jones reporting that West Ham view a move for Walker-Peters as easier to do.

Walker-Peters is attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

“We know that West Ham are very seriously looking for a new forward and have tried on Jhon Duran, but also we will see them kick on in their bid to find a full-back,” he told GIVEMESPORT.

“Man United are still waiting to discover whether they are serious about Wan-Bissaka.

“It has seemed like they have looked into a few other options that might be easier to do, and Kyle Walker-Peters is one of them, but certainly this is one of the areas they want to address quickly.

“Getting a deal sorted for Flynn Downes is helpful and the close-season negotiations with Southampton were always aimed at sorting out that situation before pre-season as we have reported recently.”

Walker-Peters had been linked with a possible return to Tottenham earlier in the summer, and the right back was part of the Southampton side which won promotion back to the Premier League through the play-offs last season, making 47 appearances in all competitions.

West Ham were heavily reliant on Jarrod Bowen for goals last season, and as well as having interest in  Jhon Duran, they are reportedly weighing up a move for Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

West Ham are considering a move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin according to Sky Sports.

The Hammers are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season and have so far added Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme, whilst defender Max Kilman has arrived from Wolves in a deal worth £40m.

West Ham were heavily reliant on Jarrod Bowen for goals last season, and with Danny Ings’ move to the London Stadium not working out, and Michail Antonio not getting any younger the club need new options at the top end of the pitch.

West Ham consider move for Calvert Lewin

The Hammers have been linked with a number of strikers ahead of Julen Lopetegui’s first season in charge with the Spaniard replacing David Moyes at the end of the last campaign.

West Ham have reportedly looked at Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, who Chelsea had expressed interest in earlier this summer, but an offer has yet to be made.

Calvert-Lewin is attracting interest from Premier League clubs this summer.

Sky Sports have reported that Calvert-Lewin could be an option for the club, with the Englishman now inside the final 12 months of his deal.

The 27-year-old had been linked with a move to Newcastle earlier in the window, but that reportedly fell through due to personal terms not being agreed.

The England international, who is believed to be valued at around £30m by Everton, has been at Goodison Park since 2016, and has scored 68 goals for the Toffees.

Calvert-Lewin has had a number injury problems over the last couple of years, but he put those behind him as he made 38 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.

The Hammers are also believed to have an interest in Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson who looks likely to leave the Emirates this summer, whilst they have also looked at Nice centre back Jean-Clair Todibo.

Juventus are not happy with West Ham after they made an offer of £25m for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo according to reports.

The Hammers under new manager Julen Lopetegui are looking to strengthen a squad which finished ninth last season, as they aim to qualify for European football.

West Ham have so far signed Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme, Max Kilman from Wolves and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham from Sheffield United, but will need more if they are to achieve their goals next season.

Juventus unhappy with West Ham

The Hammers have prioritised defensive reinforcements this window, and despite signing Kilman for £40m they are still in the market for another centre back.

Angelo Ogbonna has left the club whilst there are still question marks surrounding the futures of Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd.

French centre half Todibo has been identified as another target and the London Stadium outfit had an opening offer of £25m rejected by Nice for the 24-year-old.

West Ham had an opening offer for Todibo rejected.

Italian giants Juventus are also interested, whilst Manchester United are no longer in the race for the France international.

However, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport the Serie A club aren’t happy with their Premier League counterparts as they feel West Ham’s offer has driven Todibo’s asking price up.

Juventus have reportedly made an offer of just £17m with Nice believed to value Todibo at around £34m.

The Serie A side have also been linked with a move for Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori who would like to join the club, but Juventus and Bologna are yet to reach an agreement, and the Italy international is said to be close to a move to Arsenal.

West Ham are also in the market for attacking reinforcements and are looking to bring in a centre forward who is a regular source of goals.

It appears no major inroads have been made into signing a new striker but the club have been linked with Alexander Sorloth and Youssef En-Nesyri.

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen has no interest in joining Newcastle this summer despite interest from the Magpies according to reports.

Bowen, who is currently with the England squad at Euro 2024 had a brilliant season for the Hammers scoring 16 Premier League goals as West Ham secured a top half finish.

The England international is under contract at the London Stadium until 2030, but his performances have attracted the interest of a number of clubs including Newcastle and Liverpool.

Bowen not interested in joining Newcastle

Having made sure they are compliant with profit and sustainability rules through the sales of Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson the Magpies can now turn their full attention to strengthening a squad which missed out on European football last season.

Newcastle are known to be in the market for attacking reinforcements and the likes of Bowen and Chelsea’s Noni Madueke are believed to be two names under consideration.

Bowen joined West Ham from Hull City in 2020 and has gone on to establish himself as a key player for the Hammers making 202 appearances to date, scoring 60 goals and providing 39 assists.

Jarrod Bowen celebrates scoring for West Ham.
Bowen is attracting interest from Newcastle this summer.

HITC report that Bowen is happy at the London Stadium and is “uninterested” in a move to St James’ Park, and even a lucrative offer from the north east wouldn’t tempt him.

With Miguel Almiron looking set to join the Saudi Pro League Newcastle have identified the 27-year-old as one of their main targets.

HITC add that the Hammers would likely ask for a fee of more than £100m for the former Hull star, and that sort of figure is almost certainly beyond the realms of possibility for Newcastle.

Eddie Howe’s side will likely have to turn to alternative options in their pursuit for a right winger, and a move for Madueke will seemingly be difficult as well with Chelsea unlikely to want to part ways with England under-21 international.

Former West Ham assistant Johnny Heitinga has revealed he’s in talks with Liverpool over becoming part of Arne Slot’s coaching set-up.

Heitinga is currently out of work having left the Hammers with David Moyes at the end of last season.

It’s all change at the London Stadium with the newly appointed Julen Lopetegui now in charge, and the Hammers have been getting to work in strengthening their squad.

Heitinga reveals he’s in talks with Liverpool

Heitinga, a former Everton defender was surprisingly named as one of Moyes’ assistants last September and it appears he might not be out of work for long.

The 40-year-old could be set for an immediate return after revealing he’s been talks with Liverpool over becoming part of Slot’s coaching staff.

Heitinga could be set to become part of Liverpool’s coaching staff.

The only thing I can say now is that I have been approached (by Liverpool) and that my agent Rob Jansen and I are in talks,” he told Dutch outlet De Telegraaf.

Heitinga joined the Hammers after leaving Ajax following a short spell in charge of the Dutch giants.

The former defender spent five years playing for Liverpool’s rivals Everton but that doesn’t appear to be putting him off a potential link up with fellow countryman Slot, who appears to still be finalising his coaching staff ahead of the new season.

Whilst there’s plenty of change at West Ham this summer, there’s arguably more at Anfield following the departure of Jurgen Klopp, and Liverpool are somewhat heading into the unknown next season as they prepare for a new era under Slot.

Liverpool haven’t been active in the transfer market and are yet to make a signing, and maybe they are waiting until Slot has finalised his coaching staff before making an approach for any players, with the Reds needing to add to their squad having fallen away in the title race at the end of last season.

West Ham are set to target Kyle Walker-Peters, Matias Soule and Youssef En-Nesyri as their next three summer signings according to The Guardian.

After a slow start to the summer the Hammers are starting to click into gear and have signed Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras and Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham from Sheffield United.

The club are set to complete the signing of Wolves defender Max Kilman, having had a bid of £40m accepted for the 27-year-old.

West Ham set for a busy window

It’s been all change at the London Stadium this summer with Julen Lopetegui replacing David Moyes, with a new era being ushered in at the club.

The Hammers need to strengthen their squad significantly if they want to get back into European football having missed out with a ninth placed finish last season.

Whilst the three signings they have made so far is a good start, more need to follow them through the door.

Kyle Walker-Peters in action for Southampton.
Walker-Peters is a summer target for West Ham.

West Ham could certainly do with further strengthening at full back and in the attacking areas, and Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg has named who he believe’s will be the club’s next three signings.

“West Ham want a striker, a midfielder and a winger, and have held talks with Southampton over signing Kyle Walker-Peters,” he wrote.

“The full-back could be part of a deal that takes Flynn Downes to Southampton.”

The other two names are Juventus attacker Soule and Seville striker En-Nesyri, who has been linked with a move to West Ham previously.

Soule can play across the frontline and impressed in Serie A last season whilst on loan at Frosinone, and his versatility no doubt appeals to West Ham.

En-Nesyri is believed to be available for around £17m and has worked under Lopetegui previously with the pair winning the Europa League with Seville.

If the Hammers were able to add these three names to their squad it would certainly set them up nicely for the new season, and they really need to hit the ground running under Lopetegui.

Benrahma joined the Ligue 1 outfit for a reported £12.3m and the Hammers also received a reported loan fee of £5.1m when he joined Lyon on loan in January.

The Algeria international has signed a three deal after making 15 appearances for the club over the second half of last season.

West Ham have Benrahma sell on clause

Benrahma arrived at the Hammers from Brentford in January 2021 and went on to make 155 appearances for the club scoring 24 goals and providing 20 assists.

The 28-year-old won the Conference League during his time at the London Stadium, and made 22 appearances in the first half of last season before joining Lyon on loan in January.

The Algerian scored three goals and provided three assists in 11 Ligue 1 appearances, but his performances clearly convinced Lyon enough to make the move permanent.

Benrahma has made his move to Lyon permanent.

The French side have confirmed that West Ham will receive ten precent of the profit from any future sale of Benrahma.

In a club statement they said:

“OL is delighted to be able to keep Said Benrahma in its squad.

“After integrating perfectly into the club, the 28-year-old striker has played 15 matches and scored 3 goals in the space of 4 months.

“Benrahma is now tied to OL until June 30, 2027, with an optional year.

“West Ham retains a 10% interest on the capital gain in the event of a possible transfer.”

Benrahma isn’t the only player to have left West Ham this summer with Thilo Kehrer making his loan move to Monaco permanent whilst Ben Johnson has joined newly promoted Ipswich Town on a free transfer.

The Hammers are looking to strengthen Julen Lopetegui’s squad ahead of the new season and have currently added Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme to their ranks, whilst they retain a strong interest in Wolves captain Max Kilman.

Manchester United made an enquiry about West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Alvarez arrived from Ajax last summer as West Ham reinvested the Declan Rice money, and the Mexican had a successful debut season at the London Stadium.

Having confirmed that Erik ten Hag will remain as manager United have been making inroads to strengthen a squad, which despite winning the FA Cup finished a lowly eighth and got knocked out of the Champions League in the group stage.

United enquire about Edson Alvarez

United will be looking for midfield reinforcements this summer given they are likely to sell Casemiro, whilst it appears unlikely the Red Devils will sign Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis following his loan spell last season.

Plettenberg has reported that ten Hag is a fan of the Mexico international, but there has yet to be an official offer presented.

He adds that even though West Ham would be reluctant to sell the midfielder, he’s not “unsellable” this summer and the Hammers are believed to value him between €60m-€80m.

Whilst a move for Alvarez would be very expensive, a potential move to Old Trafford would see the 26-year-old reunite with Ten Hag, who he spent three seasons under at Ajax.

However, any potential move for Alvarez, albeit unlikely might have to be put on hold whilst the severity of a hamstring injury sustained at the Copa America is ascertained.

The injury could be tournament ending for Alvarez, and in a worst case scenario he may not be fit to play a full part in pre-season, with West Ham no doubt sweating over the outcome.

Away from Alvarez, United are looking to try and conclude a deal for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee who has a £34m release clause, but they face strong competition from AC Milan.

Seville striker Youssef En-Nesyri is open to a move to West Ham this summer according to reports, as the Hammers look to bolster their attacking options.

Having appointed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, West Ham have started to make inroads in the transfer market as they look to strengthen a squad which finished ninth last season under David Moyes.

Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme became the first signing of the Lopetegui era after the teenager completed a £25m move from Palmeiras.

En-Nesyri open to West Ham move

With the Guilherme deal completed the Hammers have now turned elsewhere, and have targeted Wolves captain Max Kilman as they look to strengthen their defensive options.

As well as at the back West Ham are also looking to strengthen in the striker department with Michail Antonio not getting any younger or a regular source of goals, whilst Danny Ings’ move to the London Stadium hasn’t worked out at all.

However, there could be good news with GIVEMESPORT reporting Seville star En-Nesyri is keen on making a switch to the Hammers, with West Ham getting closer to entering negotiations with the La Liga outfit.

The reports adds that the Morocco international would be available for around £21m, and Seville would be prepared to let the 27-year-old go if those demands are met before the end of the window.

If En-Nesyri were to join the Hammers it would see him reunite with Lopetegui, with GIVEMESPORT adding that the former Wolves and Real Madrid manager is keen on a reunion.

The Moroccan scored 36 times in 115 appearances under Lopetegui, as the pair won the Europa League together during their time at Seville.

West Ham’s plans in the market might alter depending on the severity of an injury suffered by Edson Alvarez at the Copa America, and they may be forced to add midfield reinforcements if the Mexican is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

West Ham’s opening bid of £25m for Wolves captain Max Kilman is set to be rejected with the Midlands outfit wanting to keep hold of the defender according to reports.

It appears former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui is plotting a raid on his former club as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.

The Hammers are looking for reinforcements in both defensive and attacking areas as they aim to improve on last season’s ninth place finish, and get back into European competition.

Wolves set to reject West Ham’s £25m Kilman offer

The Telegraph report that West Ham are prioritising defensive additions this summer, with their opening bid of £25m for Kilman set to be rejected.

The report adds that any potential deal for the 27-year-old could cost up to £45m, whilst Wolves turned down a £30m bid from Napoli last year.

Following interest from the Serie A outfit, Kilman ended up signing a new long term contract with Wolves until 2028.

Max Kilman in action for Wolves.
West Ham are keen to sign Wolves captain Kilman this summer.

Lopetegui knows Kilman and made him club captain during his time in charge of Wolves in the 2022/2023 campaign, with The Telegraph adding that the Spaniard rates him highly and is keen to bring him to West Ham.

Wolves won’t want to lose their captain, but the report adds the club are aware that a major sale would give them greater manoeuvrability in the transfer market.

Kilman joined Wolves on a free transfer from Maidenhead United in the summer of 2018, and has gone on to make 151 appearances for the club scoring three goals.

The Hammers have been busy this summer and have already added Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme to their ranks from Palmeiras.

West Ham are also keen to sign a striker this summer and have been linked with the likes of Serhou Guirassy and Youssef En-Nesyri, but as of yet nothing seems particularly advanced in regards to a new forward.
