That Tottenham could acquire his services for absolutely nothing could be a real boost for the club, and would allow them to offer terms that would prove attractive to the defender.
Spurs aren’t expected to be alone in their interest, however, Postecoglou has already shown that when he targets a player he can prove to be very persuasive in getting a deal over the line.

Ben Johnson has played over 50 games for West Ham who has been given plenty opportunities to become a regular player. However, he never looked Premiership standard. Very nervous on the ball and has made mistakes that have cost us matches. Therefore it was inevitable that Johnson was going to move on. Best for him and West Ham FC. I wish him every success at his new club.
Why stay at West Ham – always a middle of the table team. A big club like Spurs will always be an attraction.
