Julen Lopetegui is very keen to strengthen West Ham’s defence ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and the Hammers are working hard to convince Man United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka to join the London club.

That is according to Football Insider, who state that the Irons are currently in discussions with the right-back’s representatives to convince their client to move to East London ahead of the new season kicking off next month.

Man United are open to letting Wan-Bissaka leave during the current transfer window as the Englishman is out of contract at Old Trafford in 2025, therefore, this summer is the ideal time for the Manchester club to cash in on the defender.

Wan-Bissaka is not a major part of Erik ten Hag’s plans at Man United despite the full-back featuring 30 times for the Dutch coach last season, while also ending the campaign as a starter.

The decision to sell the defender is with a more long-term view in mind as the Manchester club can use the money from any potential sale to strengthen their squad.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are also interested in signing the 26-year-old this summer but the player would likely want to stay in England, which gives West Ham a good chance of landing the right-back.

Manchester United are in a state of flux and as Erik ten Hag tries to spin two plates at once, it seems Bayern Munich have moved ahead of his future club for two of his current stars.

Ten Hag is currently involved in a battle with Feyenoord for the Dutch title as he tries to leave a parting gift in Amsterdam. Ajax have a four point lead with two games to go and should be able to close out the Eredivisie, but it can’t be easy for ten Hag to plan for next season at Manchester United while finishing the current one with Ajax.

It appears that German giants Bayern Munich may well have stolen two of his stars from under his nose. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Bavarians have stolen a march on United for Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch.

Gravenberch has been earmarked as one of the brightest midfield targets in Europe and at the age of just 19, has already won four caps for the Dutch national team.

Mazraoui is a talented right-back and with his contract up this summer, his destination has been the subject of much speculation. One of many quality players set to move on a free, he is part of a trend of big clubs looking to avoid transfer fees while reshaping their squads.

Manchester United managerial candidate Erik ten Hag is being tipped to possibly make as many as five signings from his current club Ajax.

The Dutch tactician is the current favourite to be named the next Man Utd manager, and there’s already been transfer gossip surrounding the players he might look to bring to Old Trafford.

Ten Hag could raid Ajax for their star players once he takes the reins at United, and Dutch football expert Jan Willem Spaans told CaughtOffside that he could see as many as five of the Amsterdam club’s players being good fits for the Red Devils.

“Antony is the obvious star figure in this Ajax side, but in all honesty I can’t see him coming to Man Utd as long as they can’t offer Champions League football, for all their financial pull they would have to put that on the table,” Spaans said.

“His partner Lisandro Martinez would also seem a useful addition to United’s not-so-sturdy defence.”

Barcelona hope to confirm three separate free-transfer deals by the of the month.

According to 90min, Barcelona hope to confirm the free transfers of Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie and Noussair Mazraoui by the end of March.

Due to financial troubles, raiding the free-transfer market was necessary for Barcelona, who are unable to pay for players as it stands, according to Bloomberg.

Barcelona also hope to bring in Cesar Azpilicueta, but that deal is more complicated than the others. Chelsea have an option to extend the contract, even if the Spanish defender wants to leave.
