West Ham are considering a move for Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters according to reports as they look for a new right back following Ben Johnson’s departure.

It’s set to be a busy summer at the London Stadium as the Hammers look to strengthen their squad ahead of Julen Lopetegui’s first season in charge.

So far the club have signed Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme, centre back Max Kilman and goalkeeper Wes Foderingham, with plenty more reinforcements needed if West Ham are going to qualify for European football.

West Ham eye Walker-Peters

The Hammers are on the hunt for more depth in the right back position following Johnson’s decision to join Ipswich on a free transfer.

Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to leave the club this summer, and has been linked with a move to the London Stadium, with journalist Dean Jones reporting that West Ham view a move for Walker-Peters as easier to do.

Walker-Peters is attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

“We know that West Ham are very seriously looking for a new forward and have tried on Jhon Duran, but also we will see them kick on in their bid to find a full-back,” he told GIVEMESPORT.

“Man United are still waiting to discover whether they are serious about Wan-Bissaka.

“It has seemed like they have looked into a few other options that might be easier to do, and Kyle Walker-Peters is one of them, but certainly this is one of the areas they want to address quickly.

“Getting a deal sorted for Flynn Downes is helpful and the close-season negotiations with Southampton were always aimed at sorting out that situation before pre-season as we have reported recently.”

Walker-Peters had been linked with a possible return to Tottenham earlier in the summer, and the right back was part of the Southampton side which won promotion back to the Premier League through the play-offs last season, making 47 appearances in all competitions.

West Ham were heavily reliant on Jarrod Bowen for goals last season, and as well as having interest in  Jhon Duran, they are reportedly weighing up a move for Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Southampton are considering a move for out of favour Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale according to reports.

Ramsdale is expected to leave the Emirates this summer having lost his place to David Raya last season, and Arsenal have now made the Spaniard’s loan move permanent.

With Euro 2024 now out of the way the 26-year-old can think about his future and decide what the next best step for his career would be.

Southampton consider Ramsdale move

The England international had been linked with a move to Newcastle earlier in the summer, but that won’t be happening after the Magpies signed Odysseas Vlachodimos from Nottingham Forest.

However, The Sun report that newly promoted Southampton are considering a shock bid for the Arsenal star, with the Gunners possibly wanting as much as £30m for the goalkeeper.

Ramsdale is likely to leave the Emirates this summer.

Southampton have had a good start to the transfer window with Taylor Harwood-Bellis making his move for Manchester City permanent, whilst the Saints have also signed Adam Lallana.

The report adds that Mikel Arteta’s side would love to keep Ramsdale as their number two, but understand the situation he finds himself in, and it’s also claimed Arsenal would consider a loan if no club meets their valuation.

The Gunners have already identified possible replacements for the Englishman, and saw a bid rejected by Wolves for Dan Bentley, whilst Espanyol’s Joan Garcia is also said to be attracting interest.

Ramsdale has been at the Emirates since 2021 following a surprise move from Sheffield United, and has gone on to make 89 appearances for the Gunners, but was limited to just 11 appearances in all competitions last season, with just six of those coming in the Premier League.

Arsenal are yet to sign anyone and are currently trying to conclude a deal for Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori, but the transfer fee is believed to be holding proceedings up, with the Italy international keen on the move.

Fulham are leading the race for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay with Newcastle, West Ham and Southampton also interested according to reports.

United are set for a busy summer, and a number of players are expected to be moved on, including the likes of Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Casemiro as they look to raise funds and free up space in the squad.

McTominay has seen his game time at Old Trafford lessen following the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo, and he was the subject of interest from West Ham last summer, but ended up staying at United.

Fulham lead the race for McTominay

The 27-year-old has made 352 appearances for the Red Devils, but is thought to be one of the players the club are happy to sell this summer.

The Scotland international has popped up with a number of important late goals for United, including an injury time double against Brentford and both goals in the win against Chelsea last season.

McTominay scored ten goals in 43 appearances in all competitions last summer, but is out of contract in 2025, with United running the risk of losing him on a free if they opt against selling the Scot this summer.

Manchester World report that four Premier League clubs are interested in the midfielder’s services with Fulham believed to be leading the way, with Newcastle, West Ham and newly promoted Southampton also interested.

The report adds that Fulham are leading the way for McTominay with Marco Silva keen on pairing him with former team-mate Andreas Pereira at Craven Cottage, and a bid is expected soon.

West Ham had an offer rejected last summer, and Manchester World adds their interest is believed to have cooled.

Following Scotland’s early elimination from Euro 2024, McTominay is expected to play a full part in United’s pre-season tour of America.

United are targeting moves for Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee, whilst they also have interest in  Manuel Ugarte and Jarrad Branthwaite.

Tottenham are showing interest in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters as they look to sign a new right back this summer according to reports.

Spurs could be in the market for a right back this summer if Emerson Royal departs, with the Brazilian attracting interest from AC Milan.

A potential Royal departure would leave Spurs needing a back-up for first choice right back Pedro Porro.

Spurs interested in Walker-Peters

Walker-Peters came through the ranks at Spurs, before being sold to Southampton in 2020, and he was part of the side which won promotion back to the Premier League last season.

Spurs have been linked with Monaco’s Vanderson who has a price tag of around £34m which they are reportedly put off by, but GIVEMESPORT report they are interested in reuniting with Walker-Peters.

Walker-Peters is reportedly attracting interest from former club Tottenham.

The report adds that Spurs consider the 27-year-old as a cost effective option as they search for a back-up right back.

If Walker-Peters did rejoin the club he would count towards the home grown quota, but GIVEMESPORT add he would still have to be convinced of his role in the squad.

Former Spurs defender Alan Hutton believes the club could try and hijack Manchester United’s move for Jarrad Branthwaite, but it remains to be seen if Spurs are prepared to spend up to £70m on one player this summer.

The club haven’t done a lot of business, and so far they have only extended Timo Werner’s loan from RB Leipizig.

Spurs are believed to be in the market for a midfielder and a striker, with the club linked with moves for Conor Gallagher and Ivan Toney as they look to strengthen the squad in an attempt to get back into the Champions League next season, having missed out to Aston Villa by just two points.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis will join Southampton on a permanent basis from Manchester City following their promotion back to the Premier League.

The Saints beat Leeds 1-0 in the Play-Off final at Wembley to return to the top flight at the first time of asking following their relegation in the 2022/2023 season.

Harwood-Bellis joined Southampton on loan from City on deadline day last summer with the deal including an obligation to buy if Russell Martin’s side got promoted.

Harwood-Bellis makes Southampton move permanent

Southampton’s Wembley success means they will now pay the Premier League champions £20m for the centre back.

The 22-year-old has been a regular for the Saints this season, making 46 appearances and scoring two goals in all competitions.

Harwood-Bellis is now a permanent Southampton player.

It’s the second season in a row Harwood-Bellis has won promotion to the Premier League having spent last season on loan at Vincent Kompany’s title winning Burnley side.

In the aftermath of their Play-Off victory the defender couldn’t hide his delight at becoming a Southampton Player.

“I can’t put it into words, it’s different because I know I’m a Southampton player now”, he said in quotes picked up by BBC Sport.

“I wanted to stay here and to know that we’ll be in the Premier League and there’s not even a discussion to happen now [with Man City] and to just turn up for pre-season, I can’t describe that feeling.”

When asked about the difference between his two promotions the former City man admitted the one with Southampton meant a little more knowing he’s now a member of the squad.

“It’s surreal, both in completely different ways, I couldn’t have asked for much better”, he added.

“Last year was so special, with a special football club that I loved to bits.

“This year is exactly the same, with a little more edge because I know I’m here to stay.”

Leeds United are believed to be interested in signing midfielder Samu from Portuguese club Vizela.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is the captain of Vizela who sit second bottom of the Portuguese league.

Samu has made 31 appearances across all competitions this season and has scored four goals and provided two assists.

Could Samu join Leeds?

Samu would be available on a free transfer and if Leeds were to return to the Premier League then they would instantly become a more attractive proposition for players.

Manager Daniel Farke has used a lot of youngsters this season and Leeds have had a very strong strong  campaign with the Whites currently second in the Championship.

Vizela midfielder Samu has been linked with a move to Leeds.

There are a number of talented midfielders in the Leeds squad, perhaps none more so than Archie Gray but it will be vital that the Whites add enough bodies to the squad if they go up to give them the best chance of staying in the division.

Portuguese outlet Record reports that Leeds are facing competition from Championship rivals Southampton for Samu’s signature.

The fact that the Saints have dropped out of the Championship title race and will seemingly have to settle for a place in the play-offs could hand Leeds the edge in any potential transfer tussle.

The Whites have also been linked with a move for former midfielder Kalvin Phillips who left for Manchester City in a deal worth £50m in the summer of 2022.

Samu would represent a much cheaper alternative to Phillips but his lack of experience in any of Europe’s top five leagues could be a potential problem.

Leeds face a trip to Coventry this weekend knowing they can’t afford any slip ups in the title race with just two points covering the top three with six games remaining and only two automatic promotion places available.

Southampton could be set to beat West Ham and Bournemouth to the signing of Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the coming weeks with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men ‘pushing to sign’ the former England international.

Maitland-Niles, who has come up through Arsenal’s youth ranks from the age of four, is slowly being edged out of the Emirates due to the amount of talent Mikel Arteta has in his ranks.

The star made just eight appearances before Christmas last season, where he was moved out to Roma on loan under Jose Mourinho.

But upon his return, it appears that Cedric Soares, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are ahead of him.

And according to reports by Fabrizio Romano, Saints are pushing to make him a new signing with his versatility potentially proving key to their survival hopes.

The publication states that talks are in progress over a loan-to-buy option with the five-time capped international having two years left on his contract.

And that could see them beat West Ham and Bournemouth to his signing if it goes through.

Saints have made a decent start to the Premier League season – with Arsenal top of the league after maintaining their 100 per cent record at the weekend.

Crystal Palace have ad a relatively quiet transfer window so far, with just three signings made so far. According to Sky Deutschland, as cited in HITC, they have a verbal agreement with a fourth however.

Leeds United, Southampton and Brighton have all shown interest in Bayern Munich defender Chris Richards, but it looks as if Palace are in pole position to sign him. Having agreed to a deal with the Eagles, it appears he has chosen his destination, given Bayern Munich are reportedly asking for an accessible £13m for Richards.

Richards has won most of his appearances at TSG Hoffenheim.

A central defender by nature, the 22-year-old counts versatility amongst his attributes being able to play at both left-back and right-back. Richards has made 10 appearances for Bayern’s senior team, but most of his experience has come from a season-and-a-half on loan at TSG Hoffenheim. Across that period, Richards has appeared 34 times, starting 13 of the 20 Hoffenheim games he was available for last season.

Richards is also a US international, having made six caps in the last two years. Given his pedigree and the fact he looked at home in the Bundesliga last season, he looks a decent addition to Palace’s squad on paper.

Southampton have made their third move of the summer after bringing in goalkeepers Mateusz Lis and Gavin Bazunu by adding Armel Bella-Kotchap. The Saints confirmed on their official website that the 20-year-old had signed a four-year deal with the club.

No fee was stated by the club, but David Ornstein reported that VfL Bochum would receive in the region of €10m for the German defender. Winning the 2. Bundesliga last season with Bochum, he took to the Bundesliga well and helped Bochum maintain their first division status.

Who is Armel Bella-Kotchap?

He made his debut in 2019 with Bochum in the second division, becoming a regular in the 2020-21 season. Physically imposing and aggressive with his defending, he will be menace to attackers in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s pressing system. In his first top-flight season he made 20 starts, going through a brief period on the bench in November and December before returning to the line-up.

Where he struggles more is on the ball and Bella-Kotchap has yet to display a comfort on the ball that many managers like from their central defenders.

Chelsea are rethinking their front line for next season after the failed return of Romelu Lukaku, but it appears 20-year-old Armando Broja is not part of that plan. The Albanian forward enjoyed a good season with Southampton, showing flashes of what he can do with his 9-goal tally on the South Coast, but it hasn’t been enough for Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to ask him to stick around seemingly.

On Monday it was reported that West Ham had made Broja one of their top targets ahead of next season, as David Moyes tries to add depth to his attack. However they aren’t alone in appreciating his abilities.

According to 90min, West Ham have competition from three further Premier League sides for his signature. Wolves and Everton have reportedly been joined by Leeds United in their interest for Broja.

Last season only two Leeds players made it into double-figures, Raphinha (11) and Jack Harrison (10), which points to a clear weakness in Jesse Marsch’s attack. The former of those is also expected to leave this summer and Leeds could certainly do with more goals. Starting striker Patrick Bamford was injured for large periods of the last campaign, but Broja would add a different string their bow too.
