Arsenal plotting bid for 22-year-old Wolves star this summer

Arsenal are looking at left back targets as they think about replacing Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri reportedly a target.

Ait-Nouri has emerged as a target for some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs given his form for Wolves this season.

The 22-year-old has matched his total goal contributions from last season, with Gary O’Neil’s side still having four games left to play.

Arsenal keen on Wolves star Ait-Nouri

Ait-Nouri has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea, and has reportedly been recommended as a possible signing for Liverpool.

The left back has made 34 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

Ait-Nouri could leave Wolves this summer, with Arsenal interested.

According to TBR Football the Gunners, who currently have Zinchenko as their main left back, and Jakub Kiwior who can fill in there, are looking to upgrade in that position.

TBR Football claims that Mikel Arteta’s side have been watching the Wolves star for a number of months, and are doing their research on the player.

There were reports linking Arsenal with a move for the left back in January, but nothing materialised as the player remained in the Midlands.

The report adds the defender is also on Chelsea’s shortlist, and that Manchester City are keeping an eye on the Algerian.

Ait-Nouri is only under contract until 2026, and Wolves will be bracing themselves for bids this summer, given the player has just two years remaining on his deal.

Wolves’ asking price hasn’t been revealed, but they are in line to make a profit on a player they signed for just under £10m following a successful loan spell in the 2020-2021 season.

Ait-Nouri made a name for himself at French side Angers, but the Algeria international has now cemented himself as a Premier League star.

The Algerian’s agent is Jorge Mendes, who will no doubt be keen to find the best solution to progress Ait-Nouri’s career.

  1. No, No, No. A profit on a player is no good unless you can replace with someone better at a lower cost, and is proven in the Premiership.
Wolves will get nowhere by selling there best players. Do the board have any intention of driving this great club forward ?

  2. Ait Nouri needs to go too a bigger club than ars-enal, they are no longer a big club just another club in landan.
