Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is being backed by the club in the summer transfer window after impressing last season.
Postecoglou missed out on Champions League football in the last few weeks of the season after defeats against Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
However, the football he deployed at the Tottenham Stadium received recognition and was highly praised in the football world.
He is now looking to address the issues facing his squad with a new striker and a wide attacker his priority in the summer transfer window.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are interested in signing the Wolves winger Pedro Neto and they have been in regular contact with his agent.
A deal between the two clubs depends on the fee and it remains to be seen how much Wolves will be demanding for the pacey winger, who has faced injury issues in his career in the Premier League.
Romano told GiveMeSport:
“They are in regular contact with the agent of Pedro Neto. For Pedro Neto, it really depends on the fee. He had many injuries, so Tottenham would be happy to try again for Pedro Neto, but only in normal conditions, not crazy conditions. This is why it also depends on Wolves.”
Along with Tottenham, Newcastle United are also interested in signing the player, who is reportedly valued at £60m by Wolves.
In 20 Premier League matches last season, Neto provided nine assists and scored two goals but his impressive season was affected with fitness issues.
Tottenham need a player like Neto in their attack
This summer, Spurs will be trying to come to an agreement to sign him for a reasonable transfer fee.
The 24-year-old will provide pace, creativity and inventiveness from the flanks, something that is desperately needed at Spurs.
Along with players like Heung-min Son, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevki, Neto can become a part of a devastating attack at Spurs.
