Former Spurs midfielder and pundit Jamie O’Hara launched a scathing critique of Tottenham defender Eric Dier for his performance against Wolves.
In a game where Tottenham initially took the lead through Brennan Johnson, they ended up conceding two stoppage time goals and losing.
Pablo Sarabia came off the bench to score one and assist another as Wolves completed the turn around.
O’Hara specifically pointed out Dier’s role in both goals conceded, describing the defender as being “in no man’s land” for each of them.
He also questioned why the defender remained at the club after the summer transfer window, suggesting that he should have been sold.
O’Hara told TalkSport:
“Eric Dier for me, two mistakes, in no man’s land for both goals.
“I don’t know where he is trying to go.
“He is back at the football club again. We should have got rid of him in the summer. No one wanted him, and he ended up back in the team.”

This was Tottenham’s second consecutive defeat in the Premier League after being unbeaten for 10 games. They suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Chelsea last week in a game that saw their squad get depleted through injuries and suspensions.
That made a difference against Wolves as some of the players seemed to have run out of legs towards the end of the game as admitted by the manager himself.
If Levy wants to get by with spending as little as possible, then an injury or suspension here and there will prevent us from ever winning anything!
Honestly? I’m surprised we managed as long as we did.
I used to watch Doctor Who as a kid from behind the sofa, because of the horror I knew was coming. I had the same feeling every game last season, and will now have it again this.
The only team I enjoy watching now is Bayern, because at least Harry Kane is giving me SOME footy enjoyment through his previous association with the club!
Much of the squad has been purchased in the last couple of years. For now fans need to go with the flow and give them a chance to flesh the team out.
Or just support players like a child.
As a lifelong Spurs supporter (70 years) the only problem is LEVY! for gods sake can we get rid of him and get somebody who is fair dinkum about Tottenham winning anything.
I am sick and tired of being just another team in the premier league making up the numbers. We have a good team when everyone is fit and available but 4-5 players go down for whatever reason then we have NO depth to compete at the top level. Fix it Levy or please step aside and let someone else do the job!
Let’s be very clear.. watch both goals against Chelsea as well Eric Dier tracking back as fast as a one legged mule.. to blame for those two goals as well…VDV would’ve had no problem recovering the ball behind or cutting out both crosses… WHY is Dier still at my club!
Sometimes is sad as a club to have a good manager but always ineffective players still stay around making you less competitive.
I said to myself this season, no team can beat Spurs with their first eleven on the field.
We lack squad depth and also when Kane left our respect to referee especially officiating officials is low.
Come to think of it, If Kane is in that match against Chelsea, ….
I only hope, levy must back the Manager at all times especially transfers.
