L-G will try to run Delhi arbitrarily, says AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj; BJP hits back

AAP minister Saurabh Bharadwaj Sunday attacked the Centre and L-G VK Saxena over the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Act that was passed recently.

“The L-G… will try to run the government arbitrarily, his officers will try to stop all projects… of DJB and other departments. It is a very sad state for Delhi,” he said. He also said the Centre passed such a law against the basic principles of the Constitution.

Hitting back, the BJP said Bharadwaj lacks knowledge of law and constitutional provisions.

Delhi BJP secretary Bansuri Swaraj said: “I am confident the SC will uphold the new law. The L-G will work tirelessly to save the people of Delhi from excuses being made by the non-functioning AAP government.”
