“We have visited the Chakki Mor site and have collected various details required. After this survey, we will now submit a brief report to the NHAI headquarters in a week. Before submitting the report, we cannot say much but the situation is grim with the traffic management being the priority at the moment. So we plan to bring all the required aspects in the report to be submitted,” Masaru said.

Talking to The Indian Express, NHAI, Project Director, Anil Dahiya said that the highways authority has a collaboration with JICA, and as part of that MoU, the Japanese team visited the site at Chakki Mor to give their expert opinion. “Though they inspected all the critical points on the Parwanoo Solan four lane, they have been especially asked to inspect the Chakki Mor spot as this is one of the most critical points on the four-lane where multiple landslides are happening again and again,” Dahiya added.
