Janhvi, who was last seen in Bawaal, has often spoken about how it was tough for her and her sister Khushi to overcome their mother’s death. During the promotion of her film, she was asked about the ‘biggest war’ in her life. To this, she told Pinkvilla, “I think definitely when I lost mom. I was shooting for Dhadak, and dealing with her loss was quite tough, and also somehow finding the will to keep working but also finding a way to deal with all of these things happening in our lives was tough. Figuring that out was definitely the biggest war in my life.”

To mark Sridevi’s 60th birth anniversary, Google also dedicated its doodle to her. The tech giant credited the illustration to Mumbai-based guest artist Bhumika Mukherjee. It has her dressed in the iconic blue saree from Mr India , and her pose is from “Mere haathon mein…” from Chandni. Two hands with lightning emojis also hint at her performance in Naagin where she made the same gesture.

In its description, Google celebrated Sridevi’s success and how she made her mark on the film industry by charting new avenues for women to take on leading roles in Indian cinema. “Starring in nearly three hundred movies over the course of four decades, Sridevi made Bollywood’s sweeping dramas and comedies shine, oftentimes without a male counterpart in a traditionally male-dominated industry,” a part of the description read.
